（中央社記者謝佳珍台北11日電）行政院長毛治國今天表示，MERS在南韓感染病例仍持續蔓延，在短時間內已成為全球第2大感染國，台灣應秉持「料敵從寬、禦敵從嚴」態度，持續加強戒備。
毛治國上午在行政院會聽取衛福部「中東呼吸症候群冠狀病毒感染症（MERS-CoV）疫情」報告後說，衛福部應嚴密監控掌握南韓及國際疫情發展，做好各項防範準備，加強邊境檢疫，防堵病毒入侵台灣，並持續強化醫療防疫體系的整備及醫護人員的警覺，請各相關部會積極配合。
毛治國請衛福部儘速研議相關措施，對曾經前往南韓或中東地區，返台後有疑似病症的人員，就醫時應明確告知旅遊史，但也要避免過度恐慌，一旦有不實疫情謠言，應儘速澄清，並嚴加追查造謠者，請國家通訊傳播委員會及警政單位全力協助。1040611
