立法院副院長洪秀柱今天(3日)接見加拿大駐台北經濟文化辦事處代表馬凱琳(Kathleen Mackay)，雙方會談40分鐘，針對台加交流、區域經濟整合、能源政策及教育等問題交換意見。在能源政策方面，洪秀柱重申希望先增加綠能、減少碳能，再穩健減核，以解決台灣的能源危機。

洪秀柱指出，台灣連日來的高溫讓用電量越來越吃緊，最近電力的備轉容量已經降到2.1%，幾乎接近限電邊緣。她指出，台灣欠缺能源，綠能迄今仍無法取代核能發電與火力發電，因此，她主張能源選擇的順序應該是「增綠、減碳、減核」，政府一定要先鼓勵增加綠能、減少碳能，並採取「穩健減核」的政策，解決台灣的能源危機；另外，政府也要訂定合理的電價，以適當反映成本。

馬凱琳則表示，當年加拿大加入北美自由貿易協定(NAFTA)時，也曾擔心加拿大釀酒業的生存，但在加強研發與改善種植後，加拿大葡萄酒業發展得相當成功，反而創造出冰酒的獨特優勢，因此，區域經濟整合相當重要。
